Battery safety: what to do in an emergencyUpdated 2 months ago
Your e-scooter's battery is designed to be safe and reliable. In rare cases, however, situations may arise that require immediate action.
Warning signs
Let op: If you notice any of the following, act immediately:
- Smoke or flames
- Excessive heat coming from the battery or frame
- Burning or chemical smell
- Hissing or crackling sounds
- Leaking or bulging battery
What to do in an emergency
- Stop using the scooter immediately.
- Disconnect the charger (if it is safe to do so).
- Move the scooter outside, away from buildings, vehicles, and other flammable materials.
- Call emergency services (112).
- Notify us at [email protected] with your order number and a description of the situation.
Preventive guidelines
Let op: Never attempt to repair or modify the battery or charger yourself. Unauthorised repairs or changes void the warranty and may pose a serious fire risk.
- Battery replacement must only be carried out by trained and authorised personnel.
- For extended storage, keep the scooter indoors at room temperature (15-25 °C), away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- When storing for extended periods, charge the battery fully at least once a month to maintain battery health.
